First Gocco Print

Hello to you on this super sunny day. I have been offline for a while due to moving, but am back and starting to feel refreshed from the break away too ! Although am still in need for some un packing fairies to assist with the last few boxes of "stuff !" to be unpacked !
Whilst i was away i took the opportunity to have my first try on the Gocco !!
The very First attempt is in the bin, i panicked, the screen did not expose properly and i was without internet for any clues as to where i had gone wrong.
Second attempt worked out great, The Original drawing  in black is what i used as my design to expose on the screen, before i exposed this one i sandwiched it between sheet of paper and ironed it, was told it has to be totally dry to expose properly.
With anxious breath i checked my second attempt and it all turned out fine.

Above you can see the screen that has already been exposed and i have applied some bright purple ink.
Now at this stage i had not thought ahead as to what i was going to print on, i had some lovely brown card so printed on this

I did however want the design for Greeting cards, shops closed i covered the screen in plastic and put in the fridge until i could get some blank cards, i had researched that you can leave your screens in the fridge for a while, i am not sure for how long though.

So here is the finished result, am happy with this, i like the simplicity of it, and its something i would buy.So all in all happy with this First -  ish attempt.
I only have 30 of these cards though as i stupidly washed the screen to try another colour and the screen frame which is made of card got soggy and never re shaped.
I think i could have got loads more prints out of this had i not been so daft.
So these Gocco cards are super exclusive.
I plan a little giveaway soon and will have these available in my shop when it re opens in April sometime *

How do you like the first Gocco Print ?

I now have some more screens so will try a 2 screen design eeek !! and post up more of the printing process.

I hope is sunny and good with you, let me know how you are all doing.

Lots love

Go Gocco

Go Gocco !! As i sat here amidst a sea of Boxes ( moving again !! ) listening to "Gotye" i look longingly  at my Gocco ! I have been wanting one for a age but totally discounted it as the supplies are hard to get hold of and expensive...but found my self in possession of one last week !! Ooo yeah !

I can't use it until after i move* but that does not stop me staring into the box and looking at it all.
I have been searching through You Tube for Tutorials, and learning  as much as i can as my Japanese is not so good -

Sketches for First Print

So Gocco fever has reached me ! I hope to post lots of process photos and share with you how i get on using this quirky little Printer.

Lots Love and Sunshine

The Happiness Project

"The Happiness Project" a book suggested to me by Artist  Kitty PinkStars has just arrived ! I am excited, it came just at a time of new beginnings, new adventures in the magical world of Art, so what better time to read this book.

The Title is also very apt for now, i have made some big changes in a bid to bring some much needed Happiness in my life.

My shop Little Nore for one is seeing some changes. I made the decision to close, not to shut up shop but to close it for now. I feel tied to something that no longer reflected a direction i wanted to go. I love what i do but i need to feel connected and challenged and pushed. And if i am being really honest i was tied to the stats, the number of sales - that is not what its about. I felt scared to make these changes but once i implemented them it felt right like a weight lifted had been lifted and a clean page to start a fresh with new adventures.
The shop will hopefully be back soon in new directions  but once i have had a good explore around :D
Me and My Cat Nora...Adventures await...pens and paws at the ready

This is what i need right now and i am glad i am making the leap.

I feel excited again about drawing..."Think less do more", was my last post and this was a drawing i did based on that - such fun it makes me smile
Why not try a drawing without too much thinking, sure to make you smile .

Lots of love sunshine and Happiness
